Should you need a very flat spring rate, friction controlled elements would be your choice. PIT Track Tensioners with dampened recoil characteristics will reduce wear on your track system. The spring will no longer bounce the idler yoke back.

Chain length adjustment is made easy with the integrated grease chamber within the element. Chain adjustment can be varied up to 1/3 of the total length of the element.

PIT Track Tensioners are self contained with no risk of a hydraulic leakage. They can be refurbished (a broken steel spring has to be thrown away). They are safe to use without the risk of an explosion as opposed to nitrogen tensioners.
