The PIT Technology is based on the utilization of a highly compressible fluid. Under hydrostatic pressure this fluid
has the characteristics store and completely release all from outside induced force.
- The compressible fluid in the inner cylinder is brought to a pre- determined pressure.
- This pressure acts on the surface of the immersed part of the piston, and so determines the preload of the spring.
- Is the piston fully immersed, the spring is at its block force.
- Is the outside force released, the piston will return completely to its zero position.
The fluid will not age and keep its characteristics under a wide temperature range.
PIT manufactures spring and damping elements for temperature ranges of -45°C up to +80°C .
